ESSET students participating in unique international seminar

Recently, two of our ESSET students gained the unique opportunity to travel to Rome, Italy, to participate in the TCA seminar “The Erasmus+ Generation for the Earth”. Together with other students from many different countries, they collaborated on a set of solutions to the climate and ecological crisis.

Ewi, one of the participating students from the ESSET programme, writes the following about the event she participated in:

“Grateful to have been part of the Erasmus+ Generation for the Earth event in Rome 🇮🇹

Over two inspiring days, I had the opportunity to collaborate with passionate young people from across Europe, all working toward a shared goal: shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future. From engaging workshops to meaningful discussions, the energy and commitment in the room were truly motivating.

Together, we contributed to the “Generation of the Earth” Manifesto for COP31, exchanging ideas on climate action, policy, and the role of youth in driving real change. It was especially valuable to see how diverse perspectives can come together to create innovative, forward-thinking solutions.

Experiences like this remind me why interdisciplinary collaboration and international cooperation are essential in tackling global environmental challenges.

Looking forward to continuing this journey and turning these ideas into impact. 🌍”
