My name is Paul Santman, and I am from the Netherlands – Breda to be precise. I am one of the teachers of the ESSET programme, and working within the environmental field for most of my life now. I started my career within the field of non governmental activism, but after many different projects and work places I ended up with ESSET. I love teaching, and could imagine myself doing something different anymore. I specialise in topics such as sustainability, environmental policy and environmental ethics, and I will write on the ESSET blog from a teacher perspective!
Hey there, my name is Mia Gläser. I am from Germany and fresh off the graduation stage from the ESSET Program in 2023. As the new teaching assistant, I’m eager to inspire students to join the environmental movement. My graduation project led me to an exciting realm – microbial fuel cells, a renewable energy technology powered by soil microbes. Our environment and its incredible inhabitants always inspire me and it is my passion to protect this marvel. So let’s make our planet a greener, healthier place together!
Hi, I’m Jade Nieuwpoort and I’m going to be a new member of the ESSET blog team. I am a second-year ESSET student. I will be posting blogs about all different kinds of topics!
Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself – my name is Sára Marcinova, and I am a short-track student at ESSET. My biggest passion is animals, but other than that I do love cooking and researching arbitrary topics ranging from how was makeup made in ancient Egypt, to possible biological thread sleeping in the thawing permafrost. Hope I can bring you some new information on not so well interesting topics!
